The Tingo Team is based in Boston, where we were slammed with a super snowy winter! Things are finally starting to warm up, and spring travel is on the agenda. We've had plenty of snow days to spend researching our next vacation, and here are our top three destinations for spring travel:
Washington, D.C. is one of the most beautiful locations in the springtime as the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The annual display marks the start of spring in D.C., along with loads of outdoor events and festivals. Local restaurants take part in the Cherry Picks program, which brings the cherry blossom theme to the dinner table with spring-inspired food and beverages. We've had to dig ourselves out from quite a few snowstorms this winter and we're getting sick of it! Spring—and spring travel—can't come soon enough. The best part? Traveling during these months doesn't have to break the bank. In fact, we found three cities that offer great deals in their off-peak season.
Newport happens to be one of America's most well preserved cities. Stroll through giant mansions and admire the preserved museums and landscapes from years ago. Take a deep breath of salty air as you look out into the ocean from one of Newport's beaches, or plan to spend the day outdoors on a boat, biking around town, or walking through Newport's boutiques and shops, art galleries, or other historical sites.
