We recently wrote about the most popular domestic hotels on Tingo. This got us thinking—what are their international counterparts? Here are the five hotels across the pond that have been booked the most on the site (and just like last time, we've included the biggest Money Back amount for each to date, too):
- Welk Resort Sirena del Mar, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Biggest Money Back Amount—$327.44

As we round the corner on this holiday season, we're reminded just how fortunate we are. Sadly, there are many others—both at home and abroad—who aren't as lucky. Volunteer travel is a great way to see the world while lending a helping hand to those who need it most. If you don't know much about it, though, it can be difficult to know where to begin...
There are many organizations that specialize in volunteer trips, but one of our favorites is Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS). Since 1995, they've worked with tens of thousands of volunteers and logged more than two million service hours in 10 different countries around the world. From working with local groups to increase Costa Ricans' access to health care to lending support to African communities devastated by HIV/AIDS, CCS gives you the opportunity to volunteer in a safe and sustainable way. The organization also emphasizes really immersing yourself in the culture, giving you free time to do just that or whatever else you have your heart set on.

With 2012 coming to a close, we're doing a lot of thinking about where we want to travel in 2013. New Zealand (NZ) is at the top of our bucket list, and even though we've been there before, we're seriously considering going back. Here are a few reasons why NZ should be on your bucket list, too:
- Given last week's release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, this first reason shouldn't really surprise you. The country's North and South Islands were the backdrops of Peter Jackson's latest film. SmarterTravel has put together a list of filming locations you can visit—from the rolling green hills of Matamata, the home of Hobbiton, to the volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park that became Mordor. Even if you aren't a huge fan of the film, these breathtaking locations are still worth visiting.
