Our sister site Airfarewatchdog, the site that helps you track down airfare deals and provides money-saving tips, just released its first iOS app, which makes it easier to save on commercial flights. The app helps you look for getaways from your local airport—it even includes deals not advertised by airlines! You can save on your favorite routes and set push notifications so that you'll be alerted whenever a good fare from your favorite city becomes available. You can even stay informed with tons of useful air-travel information from the experts at Airfarewatchblog. The app is available in the iTunes store, so download it today and start saving!

Marriott has developed a new way for its guests to check into its properties. If you're a Marriott Rewards member, you can now skip the front desk and use your smartphone instead. With the updated Marriott mobile app (which is available for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play), you're able to virtually check in up to two hours before you arrive. You'll receive an automatic notification when your room is ready. Upon arrival, go directly to the mobile check-in desk, where your key will be waiting for you.
