L’Enfant Plaza Hotel: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Capital

If you've ever been to Washington, D.C. (a.k.a the Capital City), you know how expensive it is to stay in the center of it all. A member of the Tingo team recently visited, and she discovered L'Enfant Plaza Hotel. It's located steps away from Capitol Hill and literally on top of the Metro, which means that coming and going is the epitome of convenience.

The rooms at L'Enfant feature Dynasty pillow-top mattresses outfitted with 300-thread-count linens. The bathrooms offer a little piece of heaven—if heaven has plush white towels and other luxurious fixings. To top it off, the hotel is pet friendly.

Underneath the hotel (in the same place as the Metro), there's a huge variety of clothing and convenience stores (handy for picking up toiletries that never made it into your suitcase), as well as souvenir kiosks. There is also a number of eateries. If you want to dine a little more upscale, though, you're not too far from Old Ebbitt Grill, the city's oldest restaurant. (Hint: Keep your eyes peeled for celebrities and politicians.)

L'Enfant is offered on Tingo from $260/night (depending on the dates you're looking to stay). Go ahead and book; you know you've always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in spring.
