Sure, snowball fights and ice-skating are plenty of fun, but after a while, enduring the winter cold becomes miserable. There's no better way to beat the winter blues than packing a beach bag and heading somewhere sunny and warm. Start planning your sandy escape to one of our top beach destinations! We'll let you in on a little secret—fabulous hotels in Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida are on sale on Tingo right now!

Kaanapali Beach, Maui: This beach is perfect for a vacation full of pampering and relaxation. The beach is lined with cabanas, all kinds of beach activities, and butlers who will deliver the drink of your choice—piña colada, please! Many of Hawaii's biggest and nicest resorts are nearby, so there are plenty of locations in which you can splurge. Soak up some rays and work on your tan, knowing that you're lounging on one of Hawaii's prettiest beaches.

North Shore, Oahu: The North Shore is a surfer's heaven. The waves attract top surfers from around the world but are also calm enough for a beginner to test out the sport. If surfing isn't your thing, you can still appreciate it by watching one of the many competitions in the area. Or, shop in the nearby town and enjoy the local treat of rainbow-flavored shave ice.

Hanalei Bay, Kauai: Hanalei Bay beach, more than two miles long, is one of the most picturesque in the world. The waves are great for surfing and boogie boarding. In the summer, the water becomes much calmer, making it more like a lake. At that time, it's a better environment for stand-up paddle boarding and swimming. The best part about Hanalei Bay is that it's not usually crowded, so you'll have plenty of space to take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy yourself.

Playa del Norte, Isla Mujeres: Playa del Norte is an absolute gem. It has calm, turquoise water and sand that's as white as snow. You can get a massage under a cabana right on the beach—how relaxing! If tranquil relaxation isn't your thing, check out the nearby shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance of the beach. Whatever you do, don't leave before sunset! The orange and yellow sunset sky is a view like no other!

Akumel Beach, Akumel: Akumel Beach is a laid-back spot all year round. The beach is also a great snorkeling spot. If you look closely, you might even see colorful fish, turtles, stingrays, barracuda, or squid! The beach is protected by a barrier reef, so it's also safe for swimming. In fact, it's very family friendly and loved by children of all ages.

Playa del Amor, Cabo San Lucas: Also known as "Lover's Beach," Playa del Amor is one of Mexico's most romantic spots. Bring your special someone and bask in the beautiful scenery, or adventure on your own. Either way, Playa del Amor has plenty to offer! Relax in the sand, soaking up the sun, or splash around in the ocean. The water is great for both swimming and snorkeling, and there's a cave that you can explore, too!

South Beach, Miami: South Beach has always been a go-to spot. There's plenty to do, including boat rentals, jet skis, and other beach activities. The beach is so wide that you might be lucky enough to catch a polo match. South Beach is very over-the-top, which always guarantees a fun and interesting time!

Clearwater Beach: Clearwater Beach is great for families and couples alike. The beach stretches along a narrow three miles of land on the Gulf Coast. Get a suntan in the white sand, play a beach game like horseshoes or volleyball, take a dolphin-watching cruise, rent a boat, or parasail down the shore. There are also a few interesting museums close by. If you're looking for a break from the sun, we recommend the nearby aquarium!

Sanibel Island: Sanibel Island is the perfect spot for families and nature lovers. It has an unbeatable collection of seashells, so you can bring home a souvenir from your beach adventures. If you're feeling sunburnt after sunbathing for a while, there are miles and miles of bike trails that you can ride down. There's also a very informative wildlife refuge nearby, if you're feeling studious.

Whether you find yourself in Hawaii, Mexico, or Florida, soak it all in! Summer won't come around for many months, so take advantage of the sun's warmth while you have it. Here's another reason to smile—if you book a room on Tingo and the price drops, you'll get a refund automatically.
